Vintage Travel Trailer Restoration is an art. It's a way of life. People do it because they love these trailers. Talk to a vintage trailer owner and they talk about their trailer like it's a lover or a mistress. These trailers were once given great thought in the design and the sensual lines they were given. They come from an era when America was successful and proud and cost was not a concern. Workmanship and craftsmanship were given the priority over utility. I don't use my vintage trailers for camping. I think it would be blasphemous to take one of these beauties down a dirt road risking harm to one of them.
I have a custom trailer I use for camping and it doesn't matter when some duffus backs into it.
